Our modern apartments are located in a new and exciting district - close to the fjord and Stavanger city centre. Paradis is being developed into a new urban area with residential and commercial buildings, parks, a seafront promenade, hiking trails and playgrounds.

Transport and accessibility

With immediate proximity to trains and buses, and a multitude of cycling routes, the area invites you to a convenient and active everyday life, whether you're staying at Stay North Paradis for work or holiday. If you're looking for a trip to the city, just get on your feet or take the bus. The train ride takes just 2 minutes to the city centre, 5 minutes to Jåttåvågen and 13 minutes to Sandnes city centre. If you're travelling to Forus, there are plenty of buses to choose from.

Nature and recreation

The area is perfect for jogging or kayaking on the fjord. Local attractions include the popular Strømvik, Godalen beach and Vålandsparken. All are a short walk away.

A refreshing experience right on your doorstep is Damp sauna, located by the seafront at Paradis Brygge. Here you can warm up after a nice swim in the fjord.

Activities in the area

Godalen beach

An idyllic beach with white sand, barbecue facilities, and a playground for children. A perfect spot for sunbathing, swimming, playing volleyball, and strolling along the fjord to the pier or lighthouse. The beach is located in Storhaug - a ten-minute walk from Paradis.

Vågen

Vågen in downtown Stavanger is bustling with activity during both day and night. Here, restaurants, cafes, and bars line up like pearls on a string. Every summer, the Vågen area becomes packed with visitors during the festivals Fjåge i Vågen and the food festival Gladmat. Extending from Vågen, you'll find the popular area Fargegata with its colorful wooden houses, bars, and lively nightlife.

Fjords

The Stavanger region is renowned for its long and white sandy beaches and majestic mountains. The hike to Preikestolen and Kjerag in Strand municipality is an absolute must-experience if you enjoy hiking. The exotic island Flor and Fjære is only 20 minutes away by boat. It's a beautiful tropical island with 50,000 flowers, palm trees, sandy beaches, and a restaurant.
